All JJ Wing Shooting programs are tailored made to meet each group preferences. From the moment guests arrive at the airport, they will be assisted by a JJ Wing Shooting representative with customs and gun entry formalities. Guests will then be transferred to the lodge or hotel downtown, according to their itinerary.

JJ Wing Shooting also offers leisure itineraries to the most attractive destinations in Argentina. Some of the most well known are The Iguazu Falls, The Wine Route (Mendoza), North West Argentina (Tucuman, Salta & Jujuy) and several destinations in Patagonia.
At Buenos Aires, JJ Wing Shooting can assist guests with hotel reservations, shopping tours, tango show recommendations or any other activity in the city.
Cuisine
Cuisine is highly important at JJ Wing Shooting. All kitchen staff has been specially trained to deliver a unique culinary experience. Gourmet dinners and traditional argentine "asados" (BBQ) are always coupled with the finest argentine wines.

In order to elaborate our dishes only fresh products are used. Guests provide the game, the "estancias" in the area the famous argentine beef, pork and lamb. All Lodges have their own kitchen gardens, which produce all the organic vegetables needed.
Lodges

Named after the sporty Rosy Billed Pochard ("Pato Picazo"), and located in the province of Buenos Aires, Picazo Lodge is the main house of a 7000 acres (2830 ha.) working "estancia". Surrounded by the 150 acres (60 ha.) park, designed by Charles Thays, the over 100 years old house has been refitted to fulfill all our guests needs.

Enjoy traditional "asados" (BBQ) with the famous argentine beef during lunch and delicious gourmet dinners, with the best Argentine wines. Superb accommodations and service together with the best duck hunting, is the kind of experience you can expect during your stay at Picazo Lodge.

Alternatively, private air charters can land at the grass landing strip of the Lodge or at the nearby Bolivar airport.

Program
The area surrounding Picazo Lodge is one of the most fertile grounds in the Buenos Aires province. The abundant grain production together with the lagoons and ponds of the area attract big amounts of ducks during the hunting season. Rosy-billed Pochard, Speckled Teal, White-Faced Whistling-Duck, Yellow-Billed Pintail and Southern Wigeon are just some of the species found in the area.
Early morning wake up call, hearty breakfast and departure to the field before sunrise. Transfer time can vary, according to weather and hunting conditions, from 5 to 40 minutes.
Upon arrival to the lagoons or ponds, previously scouted by our experienced local guides, guns are placed in the dry blinds surrounded by decoys. Each gun will be assigned a bird boy who will help calling in the ducks, supplying cartridges and recovering the fallen birds at the end of each hunt. Morning hunt takes place from first light to around 10:30 am. Transfer back to the lodge for lunch and some rest before departure to the field at around 3:00 pm. Afternoon duck hunting lasts till sunset.

On northwestern La Pampa, where the landscape turns into Calden forest leaving agricultural farms east, is where you will find Calden Lodge. The Calden is a thorny and tough tree. Its dense forest provides the perfect habitat for doves to roost. The amount of doves and the shooting in this area of La Pampa can easily be compared to that in north Cordoba. The dove population, landscape, mild weather and the empty roads, makes of this area a wing shooting paradise.

The main house of one of the most traditional "estancias" of the area is now being refitted, always respecting its traditional style, to achieve the level of accommodations our guests expect. We estimate the lodge will be ready for April 2009. At Calden Lodge guests will enjoy the best high volume dove shooting outside the "main stream" destinations, coupled with the best service and accommodations.

Calden Lodge is located near the town of Caleufu in the province of La Pampa, 370 miles (600 km) away from the city of Buenos Aires. Guests can transfer by land directly from the Buenos Aires airport, or fly from the domestic airport on a commercial airline to the city of Santa Rosa. Upon arrival guests will be transferred (one hour drive) to Calden Lodge by JJ Wing Shooting staff.
Alternatively, private air charters can be booked to fly directly to Calden Lodge. We recommend our guest to strongly consider this option, which will maximize shooting time, with fewer struggles through airports at a small money difference.

Program
Calden Lodge is strategically located between the roosting and feeding areas of doves. The most common species of the area is the well-known and sporty Eared Dove, followed by two different species of Pigeons, the Picazuro and the Spot-Winged.
The program generally starts at around 8:00 am with a hearty breakfast. After breakfast transfer to the field. Transfer time can vary from literally walking distance to 50 minutes, depending on the time of the year. Upon arrival to the field bird boys will be waiting for guns at the shooting stands ready to start the hunt. Each gun will be assigned a bird boy, who will provide shells, count fallen birds, call incoming flocks and assist guns during the hunt. Morning hunts end at around noon. Lunch, according to transfer time, takes place at the field or back at the lodge. Enjoy a delicious “asado” (BBQ), with the best Argentine beef and wines. After lunch, some rest and back to the field for the afternoon shoot. Afternoon hunt starts at around 2:30 pm and continuous until dark.
Return to the lodge for a shower, cocktails and dinner.
Alternatively, and according to the time of the year, a decoying pigeon shooting can be arranged for our guest.
