Casa de Campo’s Shooting Center in the tropical Caribbean was created in 1986 and comprises the 240 acre facility within the resort, and a vast 20,000 acres beyond of diverse terrain to stage a variety of hunts that can be found no where else in the islands. Rolling hills, dozens of ponds and steep cliffs that drop to a winding river, setthe stage for a variety of hunts and endless possibilities.
Native grasses cohabitate with planted crops to provide hunters with idyllic conditions to perfect their skills in the tropical Caribbean. Thatched roof “palapas” throughout the grounds are a welcome treat for a picnic lunch or venue for post-shoot grilling on location.

The beauty of sporting clays and wing shooting at Casa de Campo is there are no shooting seasons, no limits on the number of birds shot and no licenses required. Packages can be and are often tailor designed for individuals and groups. We have plenty of guns to provide at no charge - or - if you want to bring your own, just complete a Gun Permit of Entry form and send it to us.
The Palm Kennel is the training ground and home to many Labradors, Pointers and Springer Spaniels, including one international field trial champion Labrador and several other field trial winners that assist during hunts.
The skeet field has lights for nighttime shoots and the Safari Bar and Restaurant are opened for special events. The flexibility of the course layout, stations and flight simulations, and manual controls to change flight patterns each day is one of the many wonders of this facility. Located within the 7,000-acre Casa de Campo resort, The Shooting Center facility features over 200 stations not only for skeet & sporting clays, but also three trap layouts, two Barnaby pigeon rings and one of the tallest towers in the world that projects clays45 yards into the sky.
Shooters who frequent the resort, receive the unexpected every time, before venturing out… ...into the wild.
WALKED UP QUAIL In the early morning or late into the afternoon, hunters walk with Pointers through our quail preserve where only the sound of rising quail underfoot can be heard, followed by a shot or two. In addition to quail, we have walked up mixed shoots with pheasant and partridge. Where: 25-minute car ride away -or- 8 minute helicopter ride Price: It is up to you. Price is per bird released, and there are no limits.
FLIGHTED DUCK Due to the natural feeding habits of the Mallard we are able to shoot in the early morning, or late afternoon. Upon arrival at the pond, you will be placed into your duck hype where you will wait with anticipation for the arrival of the first birds returning to feed. An average flight lasts 1 1/2 to 2hours depending on the wind and the number of birds you request. Schedule an AM shoot and plan to stay for lunch or a late afternoon shoot and stay for a sunset dinner. Where: 45-minute car ride away -or- 8 minute helicopter ride Price: It is up to you. DRIVEN PARTRIDGE & PHEASANT Many have shot pheasant and partridge throughout the world, but the rolling hills of the Dominican Republic at Casa de Campo offer a different hunt. Caribbean trade winds and spectacular island countryside offer hunters a unique experience with six different drives - this presents us with a variety of choices to take the best advantage of the breezes, providing a wide range of shots from high straight birds to long fast crossing. General Information Getting there: The Casa de Campo/La Romana International Airport (code: LRM) is served by several airlines. American Airlines offers non-stop service from Miami and several flights each day from San Juan. More flights are offered to Santo Domingo (code: SDQ) and Punta Cana (code: PUJ) both just 90 minutes from Casa de Campo, served by American Airlines, US Airways, Spirit Airlines, Jet Blue, Delta, Continental and many international carriers. For your convenience you may combine your arrival and departure at different airports. New flights are under development, see our website for updates.
On-Site Heliport: Casa de Campo’s onsite Heliport features an illuminated landing platform and parking capacity for six helicopters at once. Additional helicopters can park at the Casa de Campo/La Romana International Airport, an 8 minute ride to the front desk.
When to go: Anytime! Gentle Caribbean breezes make for year-round comfort.
