Shooting for the Sun
In 1984, Casa de Campo's owners and management made a conscious decision to detour from its classic, meticulous care for the grounds, to grow a dense mesh of foliage over 245-acres to create the most comprehensive shooting facilities in the Caribbean. In 1986, Casa de Campo's Shooting Centre came to life simulating true in the wild shooting experiences for shooters of all ages and skill levels.
The 110- ft red & white tower is the focal point of this facility that features true to life hunting simulations, pigeon rings, as well as an airy clubhouse with a lush tropical African-themed ambiance. For the less adventurous, but are parched for a drink, throw back a beverage at Michael’s Bar, a wonderful compliment to a day on the range.
The Shooting Centre has recently become home to a dog training facility and kennel. Here the staff trains dogs from all over the world including Spain, London, Latin America and the United States. Puppies can be found for sale on occasion, so be sure to inquire when you stop by.

Shooting FAQ's
What is Sport Shooting?
Sport shooting (Clay, Trap and Skeet) has gained popularity among hunting groups as game preserves and individual hunters are becoming more conservation-minded. In sporting clays, marksmen forgo live quarry and test their skills by shooting clay targets that replicate the actual flight of live game.
How did this sport start?
Many years ago, live game was killed for sustenance. Today shooting for food is no longer necessary. Shooting and hunting has been a hobby enjoyed by royalty for centuries and has become a popular tradition among wealthy families in the Dominican Republic, and their Latin neighbors as well. They frequent Casa de Campo’s Shooting Centre for practice and as participants in tournaments throughout the year highlighted by the Resorts’ exclusive Sugar Invitational each Spring.
What is unique about the Casa de Campo Shooting Centre?

- The centre spans 245-acres, and has plenty of room to grow.

Who Can Shoot?

How do I get a Gun Permit?
If you plan to bring your own gun to shoot at Casa de Campo's Shooting Centre, you must complete this Permit of Entry Form and return it via e-mail or fax to the Shooting Center at least 3 weeks prior to your arrival at the Resort.
