About Us Western Wings is owned and operated by the Father and Son team of Allan Bartol Sr. and Allan Bartol Jr. whom everybody calls AJ.
Their focus is on making your hunt a memorable one. They have a love for hunting and the outdoors and want to share that, especially with young people. Kids today need more than video games and television. The lessons learned and the memories made during a day afield will last a lifetime.

Allan and AJ understand that your lives are very busy and sometimes it seems like it never slows down. Leave the hustle and bustle and come and enjoy pheasant hunting in the desert.
When most people think of pheasant hunting they think of South Dakota, but we are offering an opportunity to hunt pheasants in a much warmer climate and for a fraction of the price. If you have done any research into hunting in the Dakotas you will find that most places charge from $1200 to $2500 for a three day hunt where you can only bag three birds a day. When you add travel, food, and lodging expenses for the trip out there and the trip back you have invested a hefty sum for nine birds.
Here at Western Wings you can shoot as many birds as you want to purchase. The only stipulation is that there is a five bird minimum on day hunts. Our feeling is that you go pheasant hunting to shoot pheasants.
We also offer packages that include meals and lodging in our rustic wall tents. There is something special about sitting next to the campfire and sharing hunting stories, solving the worlds problems, or just shooting the breeze with your friends and family. Experience the western tradition of staying in a wall tent. The tents we provide are 12' x 14' and will sleep 4 and are heated by a great little wood stove. Some may think that these accommodations are too "backwoods", but that is the beauty of it. We want you to get away from the telephone, the television, and all the hustle and bustle of your busy daily life, and just enjoy yourself.
We are also pleased to announce that we have teamed up with the fine folks at the Double adobe campground in Mcneal, Arizona. Full hook up with 30 amp service, available daily , weekly, or monthly for your RV. The other great thing about Double Adobe Campground is they offer trap shooting and sporting clays. So if you feel your shooting skills are a little rusty give them a call and go shoot a round of trap, or try their sporting clays course, then lets go hunting! Hunts
Western Wings is located in Cochise County Arizona near the town of Elfrida, which is about 100 miles southeast of Tucson and about 30 miles east of historic Tombstone Arizona. We are a state licensed shooting preserve specializing in ringneck pheasants. Our hunting season runs from November 1st to March 31st.
We offer half day hunts as well as two day hunts which include meals and overnight stay in our rustic wall tents.
Hunters can use their own dogs or we have guides on staff with dogs ready to hunt. There will be an additional fee for this service.
There is a five bird minimum per hunter for half day hunts.
Our half day hunts run from 8:00am to 12:00pm, and 12:30pm to 4:30pm.
Our two day hunts start at noon and we hunt until 4:30 or 5:00. Then head back to camp for a good meal and stories around the camp fire. After your belly is full and we have heard all the tales of hunts gone by, you can retire to your bunk and get some well deserved rest. In the morning you will have a hearty breakfast and get ready for some more pheasant hunting action. Hunt will last until about noon.
