AMENITIES At Santa Fe Trail Hunts we believe that relaxation is an integral part of your stay here. You won't find traffic, cell phones or clients to monopolize your time. What you will find is peace and quiet along with world-class service to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Besides hunting you will have many options to choose from to fill your time. You can sharpen your skills at our trap range or rifle range, drive golf balls at our driving range, or you may want to wet a line at one of our stocked ponds. The catfish are huge and the bass are ferocious. We stock 5-15 steel head and cut throat trout every year. Santa Fe Trail You may want to take a lunch and saddle up for a relaxing ride along the Santa Fe Trail. Enjoy the game and see the wagon ruts where our ancestors traveled through Indian country. Have your picture taken with the Santa Fe Trail marker, placed there in the early 1900's, by The Daughters of the Revolution. You may even find an arrowhead on your trek. Perhaps best of all, you may just do nothing and relax, observe the wildlife and enjoy one of our beautiful sunsets with a beverage. A cognac and a cigar on the deck after a delicious meal is a wonderful way to top off the day. You may even want to ease those weary muscles and take a dip in our soothing hot tub. We are looking forward to helping you rest, relax and recharge at Santa Fe Trail Hunts. Santa Fe Trail Hunts is located at the 15,000+ acre Witcher Ranch in Baca County, Colorado. At our new 6,000 square foot lodge you will enjoy outstanding cuisine as well as unlimited beverages. The luxurious lodge at Santa Fe Trail Hunts will immediately make you feel at home. Even though the cathedral ceiling is breathtaking, the fireplace and hearth beckon you to have a seat and relax. After a delicious dinner you may want to adjourn to the deck and relive the day's activities. What if I want to bring my non-hunting wife or girlfriend? Will she be bored? Absolutely not. Your non-hunting roommate will have a myriad of activities to pursue while you are in the field. She may like to hike or ride the Santa Fe Trail. She can enjoy the wildlife, scenery and domestic animals found on the ranch. She may want to fish in one of our stocked ponds. She could take one of our all-terrain carts and a lunch and meet you for lunch. Maybe, your guest would like to learn to shoot. We can arrange a lesson at our trap or rifle range. We can arrange a riding lesson with one of our staff. We will make your non-hunting guest's stay as entertaining as yours. An additional charge of 200.00 per day applies. We look forward to providing you an outstanding hunting experience along the Santa Fe Trail for many years to come. |
