Heaven's Gate Outfitters has a long history in the Riggins area. We first opened the doors in 1967, where we started with 2 hunting camps spanning approximately 350 square miles of permitted country.

In 1995, we were fortunate enough to expand the permitted area nearly 3.5 times to almost 1,200 square miles! We increased our total number of fully-equipped camps up to 5, which now have running water to the cook tents and showers for the guest tents. Each camp has a range of 100 to 150 square miles to cover, which provides our guests with a massive array of choice when seeking out your next harvest. This is a large reason why we have such a significant number of return hunters.

Booking spots for our Continental Pheasant Tower Hunts – These hunts start at 11 am on Saturdays. Pheasants are released from a 40 tower that is surrounded by 10-20 shooting stations depending on the number of hunters .Stations are located 60- 100 yards away from the tower.10 pheasants are released per hunter one at a time from the tower. After 10 pheasants are released hunters rotate one station to the left, to give all hunters equal time from all stations. 15 pheasant and 20 pheasant per hunter shoots can also be done for private group bookings. After half of the pheasants are released we will break for a hot homemade dinner and dessert that is included in the price of the hunt.

Wild pheasant, chukar, valley quail and Hungarian partridge on targeted species on all of our Idaho hunts. Birds are plentiful but vary from year to year.
Hunting areas are statewide and feature private ranches as well as public lands to select some of the best habitat with wild birds available.

Wingshooting the wild offers hunts on horseback, walking or by ATV.
