Experience the diversity of Macedonia Game Preserve! This diverse habitat makes the preserve an excellent choise for a variety of game. Lush woodlands provide cover. Fence rows and waterways provide a perfect setting for game birds. Macedonia also provides wildlife habitat by planting food plots to entice specific game animals and upland birds. This diversified setting is the perfect combination for whitetail deer, quail, pheasant, chukar, dove, duck and turkey hunting.
Illinois has gained a reputation for for record-sized whitetails. At this Southern Illinois Game Preserve, you can hunt for a trophy whitetail and upland birds in a variety of settings.
Macedonia Game Preserve is carefully maintained to give you an opportunity to hunt green fields, food plots or wooded settings.

Experience the excitement of a fast flying covey of quail, the whickering rise of a chukar partridge or the noisy exit of a cackling pheasant and you'll see why we pride outselves on out game bird program. Test yourself with a challedning "Mix & Match" where all three species are encountered in varied terrain. Or, if you prefer you can hunt only a single species in a specific type of cover. With our wide range of fields and fence rows, we can easily accommodate everyone's wishes.

With seven and a half months of dove, deer, turkey and relased game bird hunting, there's virtually non-stop action and always a good reason to visit Macedonia Game Preserve. Come explore our one-thousand acres of planed and managed fields, woods, and fencerows. "It's like hunting in the good old days." We assure that you"ll find game species in plentiful numbers.
As you turn up the lane to our clubhouse, it's not uncommon to encounter deer, pheasant, or quail. You'll notice out secluded area is free of highway noise and crowds of people. Here you'll find a whole lot of hospitality and a chance to hunt at your own pace. If this sounds too good to be true, spend a day at Macedonia and enjoy an affordable, quality hunting experience.

DEER HUNTING
Deer hunting in Southern Illinois is probably some of the best hunting a hunter can find, as far as quality and consistency in deer management. We have farm fields that have very good fence row cover as well as wooded bottom ground cover. We have very accessible locations to whatever kind of hunt you would enjoy. Hunting may be done in different locations in different ways according to the hunter's needs. You may bring your own deer stand, or we have permanent stands placed in strategic locations. Reservations for the 2009 hunting season need to be made immediately if not sooner!

Rules and regulations
1. Hunters must stay in areas placed.
2. Shoot only mature bucks with at least a 16" outside spread and at least a 6 point buck or a doe. "125" minimum on bucks.
3. Must respect other hunters.
4. Reservations 50% of hunt price.
5. Balance due when you arrive.
6. Deposit nonrefundable unless 30 days notice given.
7. Permits are for 1 buck and 1 doe.
8. The hunt is for 1 trophy deer.
9. Taking a trophy is not guaranteed.
10. Licenses, fees, shipping, meat processing, txidermy are hunters responsibility.

Rules & Regulations - No Sunday Hunting
All Archery and gun hunts are semi guided...Hunts will start on Monday thru Saturday. You are welcome to come in on Sundays.
Pre-Scouting tree stand placement can usually be done in 1/2 day.
2 deer harvest and hunting privelages on land managed for deer hunting.
Camper hook ups are also available if needed.
Hunt includes lodging.
Lunches served at club house; Soup, Sandwiches, etc., Evening meals are included.
You may bring your own tree stands if you like.
Hunting will be done in different ways depending upon location
Safety harness is a must when hunting from stands.

WHO WE ARE
Macedonia Game Preserve is located in Franklin County in Southern Illinois and is a state licensed hunting preserve. We have 1000 plus acres of farm crops which consist of wildlife habitat and food plots in many locations, including many woodlands.
We are managing the resources on our property and providing access to hunters so they can hunt the way they like to hunt. Services provided by this reserve will depend upon each individual, and the type of hunt they would like to have. Package prices are available upon request.
Whether the request is for walk-in hunts or a corporate or business hunt, our goals are to provide a good hunting environment, and have a quality deer management program along with quail, pheasant, chukar and dove hunting.We also have done some remodeling to our lodge. We added a 30 x 40 building to better accomodate our customers.
