Barrel Springs...
Located deep in the heart of Western Kansas is Barrel Springs Hunt Club. Barrel Springs offers you all of the amenities you have come to expect in a premier hunt club.
Our unique remote location offers you a truly traditional pheasant hunt in a "down home" atmosphere far away from all the hustle and bustle. We want you to relax and enjoy a traditional Western Kansas pheasant hunt and your stay at Barrel Springs. We are less than five hours from Denver, Colorado Springs, Wichita, and Amarillo.
We would encourage you to arrive in time for our farm country evening meal. Most of our groups chose to depart following lunch the last day of their hunt. Our schedule is flexible enough to accommodate your travel arrangements.
You need to bring your shotgun and outdoor clothing. We have ammunition, ice chests and a variety of hunting supplies available.
The Barrel Springs hunt package includes; lodging, three farm country meals each day, field transportation, dogs, guides, guaranteed six-bird minimum (no maximum), game cleaning and packaging and exquisite game bird habitat as only Western Kansas can create.

Our guides will direct you through over 6000 acres of prime pheasant habitat. During your stay at Barrel Springs you will experience the best hunting Western Kansas has to offer. With properties in several locations you will hunt a different area each day most within five miles of the lodge.
Included in the habitat are lands in CRP, food plots, native weed rows and vast plains. All take part in making your hunt at Barrel Springs challenging and as traditional to Western Kansas as the Ring-neck Pheasant. This land is available for your hunting pleasure from September 1 through March 31 and only to clientele of Barrel Springs Hunt Club.
Our kennel is home to a wide variety of the finest hunting dogs in Western Kansas. You are welcome to hunt behind our dogs or bring your own.
In addition to the Controled Shooting Area hunting (3000 acres) that we have always offered, we have added a native pheasant hunting option (3000 acres) to our hunting services.

Rates & Reservations

We offer as a complete package traditional field pheasant hunts native to Western Kansas. Our package includes all meals, lodging, dogs, guides, guaranteed game, game cleaning and packaging, and field transportation. |

Based on a group of four, our price is $445.00 per hunter, per day. We require a non-refundable $150.00 per day, per hunter deposit with your reservation. No membership fee is required. With a 60-day notice we are happy to reschedule your hunt subject to availability.

Transportation: The paved runway, nearly one mile long, available at Tribune can accommodate aircraft up to mid-sized business jets. Fuel is available at the airport in Tribune. We would be happy to pick up any guests arriving by plane.
By special arrangement, we can also pick up guests arriving via commercial air service in Denver, Amarillo, Wichita, Colorado Springs, Garden City or Goodland.
All transportation in the field is provided by Barrel Springs
Hunting License A license to hunt our controlled shooting area is $17.00 versus a $73.00 Kansas non-resident license. A Kansas resident or a non-resident license is also acceptable. We can issue any of the above licenses, but hunters born after July 1, 1957 MUST present their certificate from any state-approved hunter safety course
In addition to pheasant hunting. Barrel Springs Hunt Club does provide general lodging to anyone.
Barrel Springs Hunt Club also has predator hunting and limited deer and antelope hunting available.
