 Hunting at a Southern pace. Bird Hunting at its best. Located in south central Louisiana shallow lake offers guided Quail, Pheasant, and Chukar hunts.
At Shallow Lake we give you the complete hunting experience. We want your hunt to be so much more than just a shoot. Shallow Lake has great hunting terrain with grassy fields and tree lines all on sloping ground.
All our hunts are half day hunts. We only offer one hunt a day so there is no rushing. After the hunt we will treat you to a good home cooked meal and use of the lodge is yours for the whole day.
Great action, leisure pace, good dogs, and beautiful scenery, you will have a wonderful time, I guarantee it. It don't get no better than this.

Wild Hog Hunts
Hunt with Rifle, Bow, or Pistol
All Hunts are still hunts only out of blinds.
Hogs taken are $150 for hogs up to 100# and a $1/lbs thereafter. If no hog only $25 for hunt.
There is a $25 fee if you would like your hog skinned and quartered.
 Dog Training
Dog Training at Shallow Lake is all about training a dog to enhance your hunting experience. A well trained dog for duck or dove hunting, or upland game like quail or pheasant hunting, can only make your hunting experience many times more enjoyable. Located in Louisiana where the weather is favorable to train year round and 35 years of training experience, we are commited to training a loyal hunting companion.
Retrievers for duck or dove hunting--8 weeks/$100/week.
Pointers for quail or pheasant hunting--6 to 8 weeks/$125/week.
