Since 1953 the Caribou Gun Club www.caribougunclub.com has been serving shooters initially starting with trap and expanding the trap ranges in 1960. In 1972 ATA was started and skeet was added in 1975. A rifle range was set up in 1981 when son Randy was out of the Army. Randy, a top trap shooter was on the International Army Trap Team and they won the Gold in Seoul Korea. Another son Scott was the youngest person to ever hold an ATA card at the age of 7. (It runs in the family) The hunting preserve started in 1986 and has been expanding continually with 700 acres of beautiful ground, rolling hills, trees and 28 separate hunting fields. Sporting Clays started in 1992, a second range was added in 1994 and the third range added in 1998. The 5 Stand was also added in 1998. With 5 - 15 foot towers and two 60 foot towers; further improvement was made with fully automated courses. Today the Caribou Gun Club is one of the top gun clubs in the country holding State, National and International Competition Shoots. A great log cabin for overnight and weekends, a full kitchen, and club house where you can get your favorite beverage.
The expanded Club House and Banquet Facility provides ample room for meetings, banquets or weddings.
You can even take a sleigh or hay ride on your special occasion.
The Caribou Gun Club is family friendly. There is also a near by airport for private planes.
The Facility
Located 4 miles south of LeSueur, MN on Hwy. 112 - 1½ miles east at the Gun Club Road sign.
The Caribou has been serving shooters for over 50 years and features:
Thirty-four hunting fields situated on over 700 acres of corn, wheat stubble, alfalfa, grain sorghum, brush, and grassy areas, as well as 200 acres of switch grass.
A separate field for each hunting party.
Trap, skeet and sporting clays, flyer rings, 5 stand and a 325 yard rifle range.

It's easy to become a member of the most complete facility in the upper Midwest. Once a member you won't be turned down. We accept all major credit cards. Guest fee waived on 25 bird hunt.

Scratch bird hunting is for members only Mon-Thurs No holidays.
We have pheasants, chukars and a limited number of quail available. Barn pigeons are available year round for both shooting and for dog training. Frozen pigeons are also available for dog training. Guests are not allowed to scratch bird hunt. Cleaned, frozen, skinned pheasants will be traded for $2.00 each.
The season is open year round. No license or stamp is required on the preserve.
If you have to cancel your reservation you must call by your scheduled reservation time.
 
Dogs and guides are available for $25.00 per hour. Please request when you make your reservations. We have litters of pups on occasion if you're looking for a hunting dog. We also board dogs year round.

Three Courses
Beginners, League and Top Gun
You can shoot whatever suits your ability.
The range has been completely remodeled and is automated.
Sporting Clays League starts on May 1st and runs until September 1st.
You may shoot 500 targets in a 5 month period.
You may shoot 100 targets at a time, up to 8 shooters on a team using the top 5 scores.
You may shoot anytime as long as you make an appointment.

Reservations are always required with a minimum of two shooters on weekdays. Weekends singles will be grouped with other shooters. It takes approximately 2 hours to shoot the course with 5 - 6 shooters shooting 100 targets. We can start groups every 15 minutes if necessary.
Lodging
Overnight Accommodations Available
 
The Caribou Inn is a spacious log cabin built of northern white cedar logs. The logs were harvested right here in Minnesota. The cabin sleeps 10 people comfortably and is available for any occasion you have in mind. Located in 50 acres of quiet and serene wooded beauty, it's a great place to get away from it all!
Log Cabin Rental $100 per night for 2 guests $25 per night for each additional guest.
Sleigh Rides and Hay Rides
We have a team of draft mules that we use to give very scenic sleigh rides and hay rides. Great for birthdays, anniversaries or any other occasion you celebrate.
