HUNTING Pheasant hunting on our farm takes place from September 1st to March 31st. The farm is a mix of wooded dry creek, agricultural ground, milo strips and pheasant grasses. These birds are not your average pen raised chicken. We stimulate these birds to fly and "escape" year round. Hate to say it, but you WILL miss and also have fun doing so! There is plenty of good natured ribbing when one of those prized blue pheasants get away.

The idea behind our hunt packages is to get as many hunters out to enjoy the day as possible. You will be paying by the "released bird" NOT "by the gun" which allows for more birds for your hunting party. You get to choose how action packed your hunt will be by selecting the amount of birds that will be in the field.
If you do not have any furry four legged hunting partners to bring with you, we can provide them for a small fee.
A hot home cooked lunch is also available for a small fee.
PRICES
$13.00 per released pheasant
$10.00 per released chuckar
Lunch is $10.00 per person
Guide and Dog fee is $30.00
* All prices are subject to change as year progresses
BIRDS Common Ringneck
The base of our flock, the ringneck pheasant originated in China and is now spread all over the world. The ringneck is prized by sportsman around the world for its explosive flying ability and excellent meat. It's color pattern allows you to literally walk over one and never know it was there.

Melanistic Mutant
We get many questions about this mutation, and this is the answer. It's a mutation of the common ringneck, not a species or subspecies. There is some confusion about when and where the mutation actually appeared. Lord Rothschild stated it had been around Norfolk, England since 1880. Others say the mutation originated in Japan, was introduced into Europe, crossbread with ringneck stock there and selected for intensity. They breed true to themselves, meaning, if you were to cross a ringneck and a mutant, half of the offspring would be blue...the rest would resemble a ringneck. If allowed to breed with ringnecks unapposed, the gene would revert back to ringneck form. In my own opinion...whenever and wherever they originated, they are a personal favorite of mine to hunt. They are large, hardy, and prolific.
Green Melanistic Mutant
These birds are the result of crossing a ringneck and Japanese Green or Versicolor. This results in some very beautiful color patterns. Good flyers and good looking birds. They will make you miss. Red Chuckar Partridge
These are fast flying birds that produce great meat. You can find them in many western states. They are also perfect for puppy training.
DOGS CN's Corn Cuddlin' Moose
Moose was born Christmas day 07'. He has been the easiest dog to train. He points, backs, and has a really unique "sneaky" style when he picks up scent. You can almost see the wheels turning in his head as he tracks the birds down. Moose is also an excellent retriever. So excellent in fact that every morning I clear the front lawn of "retreived" items he thinks we need. He is usually the first dog to a downed bird.

CN's Maddy May
Maddy was born in January of 06'. She is lightning fast and very athletic. Her hunting switch is always on. She covers a lot of ground in a short amount of time. If your legs start to get a little tired, you can stand on a hill and let her cover ground for you. When she does find a bird, she will hold point until you get there. Always a "lady" she daintly takes treats from your hand and sidesteps mud puddles.
