Located in the scenic foothills of the Catskill Mountains just five minutes from the main branch of the Delaware River and only a two-hour drive from New York City. The preserve is comprised of six hundred acres of planted fields, rolling hillside, woodlands and streams all to provide the best setting for your hunt.
Our goal is to create the areas best upland bird hunting and shotgun shooting facility. In the past, like many other businesses, we have gone through growing pains. We have had to part ways with managers and employees that were more concerned with personal agendas then trying to reach our overall goal.
We feel that we have presently assembled the finest staff that we possibly can. All of our employees are dedicated to serve our customers and provide them with a safe, pleasurable and memorable experience. We are a Class A licensed upland bird hunting preserves. Licensed by the New York State DEC. This entitles you to hunt on our property without a Small Game License when hunting upland birds.

UPLAND BIRD HUNTING
Come experience the excitement of hunting Ringneck Pheasants and Chukar Partridge. Avoid driving hundreds of miles only to be disappointed by the lack of birds or "NO TRESPASSING" signs.
We provide a variety of hunting areas that will suit all levels of hunters. Hunt upland game birds in fence rows, open fields, green meadows, or wooded creek bottoms.
We are a Class A licensed upland bird hunting preserves. Licensed by the New York State DEC. This entitles you to hunt on our property without a Small Game License when hunting upland birds.
Quail Hunts
Quail may be purchased upon request. All hunters with their own dogs will be allowed to hunt quail. Quail must be ordered in advance. Three hunters maximum with only two hunters shooting per covey. This rule is put into effect to protect all parties in the field.
Hunt Times
Morning Hunt 9:00 - 12:00
Afternoon Hunt 1:00 - 4:00
Hunters must be present at least 45 minutes prior to the hunt. Three hunts per day will be held during the months of September, October, and March. The Morning, Mid-Morning, and Late Afternoon hunts may last longer due to increased amount of birds.
SPORTING CLAYS
As legend has it, we have been told that John Kruger laid out our original sporting clay course. The course is cut out of the hillside and is very unique in comparison to any other course that we have found. We have redesigned the course and added electric traps and remote control throwers.
Although the course is constantly a work in progress, we are confident that our layout offers our clients the finest shotgun shooting experience around. The design is friendly to beginners and will also challenge more experienced shooters.
We welcome single shooters, small groups and larger groups or clubs and corporate outings. We will be holding competitive shoots in the near future. We also offer shooting instruction by appointment.
Five Stand
We have added a five stand course to our facility. This has proven to be a favorite with our guests. The field is made up of eight electronic traps. This course offers an excellent warm up for upland bird hunting or sporting clays. We will be lighting the course for night shooting in the near future.
Tower Shoots
We have constructed a new tower for tower shoots. We will be holding tower shoots once a month (September through March) that will include a barbecue lunch. All are welcome to join in.
We will also be happy to arrange a tower shoot for your hunting group. Please contact us and we will be happy to put a package together for you.
Shooting Instruction/Schools
Catskill Pheasantry offers two-day shooting schools throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall at our premier shotgun shooting facility. Private instruction is available year round.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES
Catskill Pheasantry is happy to offer the following additional services for you and your group
Deer and Turkey Hunting
This year we will also be offering guided white tail deer hunts and turkey hunts. The lodge and grounds are yours Sunday before opening day of the rifle season to the following Friday evening.
Proper licensing is required for these hunts. Contact Us for reservations and pricing.
Fishing
We welcome all fisherman to stay at our lodge and enjoy the fishing on the Delaware River. The Delaware and surrounding rivers offer some of the finest Trout fishing on the East Coast.
Fly-fishing schools will be offered each month from April through September. Each school is two days long. We are also offering guided fly fishing on the Beaverkill, Willpwemoc and main branch of the Delaware River this season.
Guides will be one on one or one on two. Please Contact Us and we will be happy to put a package together for you.
Clubs and Groups Are Always Welcome - Club Discounts Available
LODGING
Our lodge is located on the grounds of Catskill Pheasantry & Sporting Clays. We can accommodate up to 22 people for overnight stays. You are welcome to use the kitchen and barbecues. Your group is welcome to enjoy a drink by the fireplace and to shoot a game of pool or darts while enjoying your stay with us. We also open our doors to fishermen, golfers, family gatherings and parties.
We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our lodge. A caretaker is always close by if you need assistance during your stay.
We also offer private rooms for couples.

CORPORATE RETREAT
Catskill Pheasantry is the ideal setting for your next corporate or group outing. We are able to accomodate up to 100 hunters per day. Whether you are looking to strengthen your club's unity, bolster morale within your corporation, or entertain clients, we have a package to fit your needs. Packages include Five Stand, Sporting Clay Shooting, and Upland Bird Hunting. Cusom catering, barbeque or pig roast is available at your request.
