"Dear Sportsmen and Friends:
I would like to take this opportunity to share with you my experience with Allen Brothers Hunting Preserve in January 2008. I have had the opportunity to participate in many hunts, not only in the United States but internationally. I have experienced some difficulties in previous hunts with lack of concern with safety, with hunting equipment not functioning, with guides not understanding or knowing the hunt, and other things but when you hunt with Allen Brothers, you will have none of that.
I have never been at a hunting facility that was as neat and organized as the Allen Brothers. Safety was frequently stressed. The guides were knowledgeable, safety conscious and prepared. Communication was excellent. The lodge and facilities were immaculate. Our sleeping quarters were beautiful and actually much better than expected. Can you imagine a hunting lodge with an LCD TV, beautifully clean, and comfortable? The hospitality was wonderful with everyone focused on your positive experience. The food was plentiful and delicious. We hunted three hunts that day with ducks in the morning, a tower hunt late morning, and upland quail in the afternoon. The dogs were great. The experience was great again with safety being paramount on everyone's mind. I am coming back with my brother in the future and can recommend the Allen Brothers Hunting Preserve without reservation. You will have a great time.
A dedicated hunter,
Joseph P. Hunstad, M.D., F.A.C.S." Charlotte, NC

Quail Hunting
Come experience the rush of wings as a covey of quail flushes from underfoot at Allen Brothers Hunting Preserve. There is nothing quite like seeing a good bird dog going on point, and then not knowing whether you will have a single bird or an explosion of a whole covey of quail. Hunts are typically half days, either morning or afternoon.

Dogs: Feel free to bring your own dog, or we can provide one if needed. If you bring your own dog it is at your risk, and you are responsible for the dog.
Cleaning and Packing: Birds are cleaned and packaged after your hunt.
Guides: Our guides work hard to make your hunt successful. Tips are customary and appreciated.
Fees: $325 for a Half Day guided bird hunt with two hunters....30 birds. $8 for additional birds over 30. Hunts are scheduled either in the AM or PM (9AM-12 or 1:30-4:30)
Guided Mallard Duck Hunt
Come experience the thrill of a guided mallard duck hunt at Allen Brothers Preserve. Hunting from one of our blinds and over our decoys, you're sure to enjoy some fast flying, fast shooting action. Feel free to bring your own retriever or we'll use one of ours.

Comments from hunters:
Jay Bultz (visited with his daughter and son): "Ron, Thanks again for your kind hospitality. I really enjoyed meeting you and your wonderful family. I had a great time. I’LL BE BACK!"
Larry G. Fanella, President of May Supply Company, Harrisonburg, VA: "I had so much fun...made some great memories. You run a first class operation. The duck hunting conditions truly replicated those in the wild with non-stop action. The great food was a big bonus. Thank you again for your hospitality and great hunt."
DUCK HUNT: * Guided Mallard Duck Hunting Over Decoys and Blinds * $175 for the first 5 duck minimun.... $30 per additional duck * Price includes cleaning and packaging * Guide tips are customary and appreciated. Our guides work hard for you.
Turkey Hunting
This will be a brand new opportunity for a few lucky folks. If you want to be among the first to hunt the elusive Eastern turkey on our property, call us to arrange your hunt. Season is based upon that set by the NCWRC.

Fees: To Be Determined
Contact us for more information about being one of the first to hunt turkey on our property.
Dove Hunts
Nothing is more southern than the annual opening day dove hunt. This signals the start of the hunting season for all of us, as well as provides a great opportunity for friendship and fellowship between hunters. Of course the amazing feast included as part of the annual dove hunt, is just as traditional as the hunt itself.

Fees: To Be Determined
Date: Opening Day as set by NCWRC
Dogs: Feel free to bring your own retriever if you desire. As typical, you are responsible for your dog, as well as you assume all liability.
Tower Hunts

Based upon the old English driven pheasant hunts, this style of hunting allows a new venue for those interested in doing a bird hunt. When you're looking for something new and fun, try one of these. We typically shoot pheasants, but sometimes we may throw in a special surprise. Birds are "launched" from our special tower, while hunters are positioned around the field to try their skill at these fast flying birds.
