Feather Creek Farms www.feathercreekfarms.com is an established hunting preserve located in Pitt County, North Carolina. We are excited to share our personally designed hunting grounds with you, in hopes that we will become your favorite place to hunt in the Southeast.
Here at Feather Creek Farms, we offer some of the best whitetail, duck, bear, and upland bird hunting in Eastern North Carolina. Located in Pitt County, our property consists of 4000+ acres of private owned land, which we farm and plant year round in order to manage the wildlife.
Preserve Mallard Hunt
Our preserve mallard hunt takes you on a half mile boat ride through our man made canals to and from large comfortable blinds that hold 3 to 4 hunters. With 5 blinds placed throughout the impoundment, we can accommodate as many as 15 hunters at one time. So, large groups are welcome.

We provide a guide and a dog for you on your hunt. However our duck impoundments are a great place for that young pup that needs some birds put in front of him. If you have your own dog, feel more than welcome to get him in on the action. Here at Feather Creek, we take pride in our mallard hunts to make them the best and most realistic duck hunts you can get. So strap in for some of the best fast and furious wing shooting action in Eastern NC.
Waterfowl Hunts
Come join us for one of our flooded timber duck hunts. This hunt can be a great experience when the ducks show up. Standing in flooded timber with the sun breaking the trees, the sounds of whistling wings in the air, can really get the adrenaline racing. With a variety of ducks in the area, such as mallards, black ducks, wood ducks and teal, our guides will do their best to get you in the action.

With a couple of our waterfowl guides on several Pro-Staff teams, they are well experienced at what they do. Many hours are spent scouting birds and walking the timber to increase your chances to limit out. They will see to it that your hunt is a memorable experience. So, come join in on the fun.
Upland, (Pheasant, Chukar, Quail)
Feather Creek Farms offers some of the finest upland bird hunting experiences in Eastern NC, with quail, chukar, and pheasant as your choices.

With 3 separate farms within the preserve, we can offer many different hunting experiences for the novice hunter and accommodate the more experienced wing shooter. Each farm consists of cropland, thinned pines, milo and natural grasses to make your hunting experience the best possible.
Our guides and dogs have many years of upland under their belts and are very experienced in what they do. As you will see, they will make your hunting experience as enjoyable as possible.
Spring Turkey

NC turkey population has done extremely well over the past few years. Our turkey season begins early April and runs into May. Here at Feather Creek we offer some of the best spring turkey hunting in Eastern NC. With the options to hunt many types of terrain, consisting of hard woods, fields, pine blocks, and food plots, we work hard to do everything we can to increase your chances of harvesting that trophy gobbler.
Stands

Our stands are easily accessible to all hunters. Our hunters are able to choose from many different types of stands and locations. Many of our stands are 5x5 tower box stands with roofs, which allow for comfort on inclimate days. We also hunt from double ladder stands that are big enough for 2 people, such as Father and sons or daughters. For our bow hunters, we encourage you to bring your own climbing stand, however we do have lock on stands strategically placed throughout the farms.
Lodging

Our lodge is a 60' x 100' building capable of housing up to 20 people. The lodge consists of bedrooms with double and single beds, laundry room, baths and a full kitchen area. This facility is very capable of accommodating corporate groups, as well as large hunting parties. Here at Feather Creek Farms, we can accommodate parties of all sizes and make you feel at home with some good ole Southern Hospitality.
Deer Hunt
With over 70 stand locations, we offer our hunters the opportunity to hunt different types of terrain. These stand locations consist of corn and bean fields, hardwoods, swamp bottoms, pine blocks and cutovers. With this in mind, we hope to strive in giving our hunters the best opportunity of harvesting a trophy. Although we can’t guarantee any kills, our experienced guides will do their best to make sure your hunt is as enjoyable and successful as possible.

North Carolina offers one of the longest deer seasons in the country and one of the most liberal bag limits. Feather Creek Farms has incorporated its own management program over the last 5-6 years, in order to better our deer herds, and give our hunters the best opportunity possible. Here at Feather Creek, as part of our management program, we allow our hunters to harvest 1 Buck and 2 Does on a 3 day hunt. While on a 5 day hunt, allowing 2 bucks and 2 does to be harvested. With a minimum of six points (14” spread) and the second buck having to be bigger in number of points and width. This in turn will allow us to better manage our younger deer with hopes of producing better deer herds and nicer bucks in the future. Email us: info@feathercreekfarms.net
FINES: As part of our management program, fines will be assessed as follows:
$100 for Button Bucks $500 for any Bucks that do not meet the 6 point (14”spread) rule $500 for any animal taken illegally
These fines are put in place, not as a source of income, but to help us maintain a better Wildlife Management Program. Through our Management Program, and the help of our hunters, this will help us increase the opportunity for you to harvest a trophy in the future and help us better our deer herd.
