Our Ranch, awarded the Orvis Wingshooting Lodge of The Year for 2003 - 2004, is one of the finest lodging and hunting facilities in the West. We are located on 3,000 acres of wilderness canyons and meadows in beautiful North Central Oregon. Highland Hills Ranch is considered by many to be the gem of the western region - with some of the best wingshooting and trophy mule deer hunting you'll ever experience. Our delicious five-star cuisine, and lodging in an exceptional setting, will bring you back again and again.
If pheasant, chukar, quail, Hungarian partridge and trophy mule deer hunting in Oregon are what you're looking for, we're the place for you. We are a working farm, and our natural cover provides great nesting and feeding habitat for our upland gamebirds and trophy mule deer. Be prepared for the hunt of a lifetime.
Enjoy Excellent Bird Hunting Thru March. The temperate weather during the winter and spring months at Highland Hills Ranch is ideal for great hunting in January, February and March. Our abundance of cover, water and food plots ensures our bird populations are as strong in March as they are in September. Please come take advantage of our extended season, and experience how great the hunting can be.
In addition to our regular hunting packages, we have facilities to accommodate corporate retreats and professional seminars. Our professionalism and unique setting work together to provide a quality learning environment enhanced by a spectacular sporting experience, that is second to none. We give you ample opportunity to play while you work.
During your next holiday, please come unwind, relax, and join us at Highland Hills Ranch. We invite you to enjoy the rustic elegance of our hand crafted log lodge, savor food that will comfort you, participate in great hunting that will amaze you, and be spoiled by Dennis and Sandy Macnab, who will provide you with the hospitality only you deserve. See you soon.
Wingshooting: Our 30,00 acres of rolling hills, rimrock canyons, creek-fed bottomland, grasslands, planted fields, and open range are the perfect habitat for native upland birds.

Lodging
We are very proud of our tasting room and wine cellar, as well. A perfect way to end the day.
Both Dennis and Sandy savor fine cuisine and drink, and we make sure there is plenty of both at the ranch. If you have special dietary needs, please let us know in advance of your visit, and we'll be happy to accommodate you.
We provide wonderful terry robes for our guests, so you don't have to bring your own. Please pack house slippers or heavy socks to wear in the main lodge and cabins - our guests really enjoy this, as it makes them feel right at home.
The comfort and safety of our guests is very important to us, so we ask there be no smoking in the main lodge or cabins. Thank you for your kindness.
The evenings at Highland Hills Ranch are reserved for special moments. Enjoy an after-dinner wine tasting in our wine cellar, or gaze at the stars from the wrap-around deck. Our outdoor fire pit is also a great place to wrap up the days activities.
Our individual guest cabins enjoy a beautiful view of rock creek and boast a private bath and fireplace. Each cabin is double occupancy.
The rustic elegance of our cabins provide the perfect blend of old and new.
Relax on our front porch, and enjoy the wildlife viewing. It's incredible. Be sure and bring a pair of binoculars.
