Quail Country Plantation lies in the heart of the "Quail Hunting Capital of the World." Here, in Southwest Georgia, the habitat is perfect for the bobwhite, prince of all gamebirds. At Quail Country we place special emphasis on quail habitat.
Quail Country is not your regular everyday 'run-of-the-mill' shooting/hunting preserve. Our 15-bedroom lodge is equipped with a conference room and a conference annex. For your enjoyment, our wobble trap range is available year-round. We also offer continental pheasant shoots. We welcome corporate, group or individual hunts and we will be happy to customize a hunting package to suit your needs and all hunts have safety as our primary concern.
Quail Country is a wingshooter's paradise. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to serve you as you enjoy the ultimate in Southern Hospitality and South Georgia quail hunting. Contact us today to begin the planning of a Georgia quail hunting experience of a lifetime.
All Quail Hunts are conducted with trained guides and dogs and specially equipped jeeps or from our custom designed 'hunting buggy'.
Our Hunting Courses have been designed to provide you with a day that you will enjoy and remember as a truly unique 'Southern Style' hunting experience.
Over 3,500 acres of the most beautiful plantation land in the south is managed intensely to provide the best wildlife habitat. Our bird dogs are the finest in the south, and they live year round in one of the finest, "State of the Art" kennels in the country.
Our hunting guides are the most professional knowledgeable, experienced and courteous guides in the south. All of this will ensure that your experience at Quail Country Plantation will be the best quail hunting experience that you have ever had.
We look forward to seeing you at Quail Country this season.
At Quail Country Lodge you will enjoy relaxing in our 13,000 square foot Lodge. Our decor is that of "rustic elegance." Our lounges are equipped with satellite TV's, fireplaces and comfortable sitting areas.
The dining and serving facilities are within the lodge. Wake up and enjoy freshly brewed coffee in the dining room and a variety of juices as your breakfast is prepared and served. Appetizers and refreshments may be enjoyed upon your return from the afternoon activities as you relax in one of our two lounges or in the pavilion by the water before dinner and after.
For groups of 14 or more, the entire lodge is reserved for your group's enjoyment. While hunting, many choose to bring along non-shooting guests just to relax and enjoy the atmosphere and surroundings.
Whether for an individual or group hunt, a corporate retreat for staff, or just a special occasion such as a birthday dinner or wedding reception, we have the facilities to make your visit with us one to remember!
Our Custom Shotgun Program is the only one of its kind in the country. No other gun program offers this quality of workmanship, selection of custom styles and models, and the willingness of gunsmiths to stand behind their work. We are proud to have Bill Bowles who is an Orvis Endorsed Gunfitter as well as an Orvis Endorsed Shooting Instructor.
This is a selection of custom-made shotguns from the finest gunmakers in the world, designed to our specifications. Each of these fine shotguns is then individually custom-fitted by our gunsmiths to your personal cast, drop, and length of pull. In that way, you receive a truly custom-fitted shotgun, one that will provide endless satisfaction for years to come. Choose from a wide range of styles, gauges, and models. Included are scrolled engraving, premium grade wood—hand rubbed oil finishing—as well as English leather recoil pads, and hand detachable locks on some models and gauges.

Dear Bill,
Please let everyone at Quail Country know that we had a wonderful time at our Eighth Annual Quail Country gathering and are looking forward to next year.
I'm sure I speak for all of us in saying that Quail Country has certainly taken a step up to the next level. Your facility exemplifies what an Orvis-endorsed wing-shooting destination should be and we know that it will be a great success. You can certainly tell that customer service is a priority: The entire staff were wonderful and always helpful. We will spread the word.
We were thoroughly impressed with all of the changes. The new conference center is a great addition and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the new deck with its beautiful view and the firepit. And the little extra touches, like the hats with names, were greatly appreciated.
I want to make special mention of the new hunting program at Quail Country: The early-release birds simulated a wild-covey experience very well, and the new jeeps and introduction of flushers only improved the experience. Also, kudos on the new kennels. I've been a practicing veterinarian for 22 years and am the owner of a veterinary hospital with a boarding facility. I've also consulted on the design of other boarding facilities as well as having visited several other Orvis-endorsed wing-shooting destinations and their kennels. Quail Country's are second to none. Their layout, well-designed runoff system, open-air ventilation, ease of cleaning and septic system are quite impressive.
Thank you, again, for a terrific time.
Wishing everyone the happiest of holidays and a wonderful new year.
