Huckleberry Ridge Hunting Preserve is a hunting, waterfowling and fishing experience you will never forget. Our hunting preserve in Tarboro, Edgecombe County, NC with over 5000 woodland acres along the Swift Creek, Fishing Creek, Deep Creek, and Tar River is managed for ducks, deer, turkey, dove, and upland game birds including, quail, pheasant and chukar. Hog Island Point, our private island in the Pamlico Sound of Carteret County, is available for sea duck hunts and fishing trips.

We have experienced hunting guides that can assist you with all your hunting needs. Kennels are on site if you have your own dogs or trained hunting dogs can be provided.

Lodging is available at the Batts House, an historic ca. 1880 plantation home located on the property. Offering five bedrooms, large living areas and a fully equipped kitchen, you'll feel right at home and have enough room to bring friends and family, too. We also rent out the house for group hunts or functions and offer catering services!

So, whether you're looking to hunt for ducks, upland game birds, dove, wild turkey or deer, or just want to escape for a quiet weekend get-a-way at our historic Batts House Hunting Lodge, we can accommodate your needs.
