Our 5000 acre ranch is located in Deep South Texas, where the country is big and the bucks are bigger. The ranch is high fenced and intensely managed with supplemental feeding. With the buck to doe ratio 1/1.75 you can expect to see countless numbers of bucks. The deer here are native South Texas and are 100% wild. The abundance of cactus, mesquite trees, quajillo and white and black brush provides cover, as well as a great protein source, from where your buck of a lifetime may step out at any moment. During all hunts you will be accompanied by one of our many experienced guides.

DOVE HUNTS
At Hooks and Horns we have several locations in South Texas, totaling approximately 7800 acres that we use for Dove hunting. This allows us to keep our hunter on as many birds as possible. Expect to enjoy shooting over ponds, grain fields, brush and through flight paths. We offer hunts by the day or by the package. As always, your game will be cleaned and packaged.
We also offer retriever training with over 20 years of experience.
QUAIL HUNTS
Quail hunt our beautiful South Texas low brush for a mixture of Bobwhites and Blue Quail. Our brush is stripped and planted with quail friendly grasses for easy walking and challenging shooting.

HOG HUNTS
Hog hunting at Hooks and Horns is offered year round and can be done day or night. We offer different ways to hunt the big boar in South Texas. Wild boars are great eating and taste similar to domestic hogs but are somewhat leaner.
SALTWATER FISHING
Captain Norris Machost has been fishing along the Texas coast for the past forty years and is currently a professional guide. Whether you enjoy using artificial or live bait, wade fishing or drifting Capt. Machost will know just the spot to give you the catch your looking for. Our wonderful Texas bays are full of trophy sized trout and redfish just waiting to take a bite - Why not off of your line? Along with his 2006, 22' Mako his charter includes all bait, tackle, and a great time. Regardless if you’re just learning to fish, ready to learn a few more tricks of the trade, or just looking for a family get-a-way Capt. Machost will make sure every trip is specifically planned to cater to the needs of his clients.

* All game field dressing for your convenience
* The first and last day hunts are half-day hunts
* Non-hunting guests are welcome at $200.00 per day
Cancellation and Refund Policy
* Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable
* Deposits are due within 10 days of reservation
* Hunters will be billed the full balance of their hunt if cancellations are not received within 20 days prior to their hunt
