Raggedy Creek Ranch is owned and operated by Rusty & Malinda Moore. Situated on the Rolling Plains of Northwest Texas we offer Rusty Moore and two really excited young men on their first hunt. some of the finest Texas hunting for whitetail deer, turkey, quail, wild hog and record class exotic game. The main Ranch is located just a couple of miles north of Crowell, Texas. It sits in the cedar and mesquite covered hills and canyons that make up the rugged terrain of the Pease River country of Foard County, Texas. Rocky bluffs, canyons and thick creek bottoms make for a challenging hunt for all sportsman. Our hunting operations total over 25,000 acres of prime Texas Ranch country.
We are a complete hunting Ranch, offering hunts with a rifle, bow and black powder. Raggedy Creek Ranch maintains a variety of Native and Meaghan with a couple of Foard County,Texas whitetails. Exotic game which are managed for trophy proportions. Our Texas whitetail deer rifle hunts are semi guided hunts and are conducted on an 18,000 acre ranch. We hunt from tower blinds and ground blinds, over feeders and some food plots. The North Wichita River winds across the entire southern part of the ranch. The rest of the ranch has several creeks, including Middle Beaver Creek and South Beaver Creek, which act as superhighways for game travel. Our whitetail deer hunts as well as all other native game species are all free ranging animals. We can accommodate individual hunters as well as groups of hunting buddies.
For you Whitetail bow hunters, we maintain a separate 1000 acre bow only ranch just for you. Our stands and feeders are set up with the bow hunter in mind. You have the choice of hunting from a ground blind or from a ladder stand. Each blind is set up at a food plot with a feeder. There are absolutely no rifle hunts conducted on this Ranch! Whether it's whitetail deer, Rio Grande turkey or wild hogs, you can be assured that only bow hunters have been hunting this Texas Whitetail ranch before you.
All exotic hunts are fully guided and are conducted safari style or by stalking on foot. We have a large assortment of trophy class Catalinas, Corsican, Black Hawaiian, Texas Dall, Painted Desert and Merino rams. We also have Aoudad, Fallow, Axis, Red Deer, and American Bison (Buffalo) within the high fenced portion of our Exotic hunting ranch. All other hunts are semi-guided from ground blinds or tower stands. Our guides will try and see that your hunt is not only enjoyable but safe as well. We don't charge daily guide fees but if your guide has done a good job and you feel a tip is in order, it is always greatly appreciated.

Roi Grande Turkey hunts are available in the spring, book early or be disapointed! over 25,000 acres of prime, managed whitetail country. We want our hunters to take the very best whitetail they possibly can. That's why we supplement feed to help maintain body weight and promote horn growth throughout the year.
 
Our Rio Grande Turkey numbers have soared over the past few years. With plenty of cover, multiple creeks and miles of river, daily sightings are very common.
The Crowell area has boasted for many years as being the "Wild Hog Capitol of the West". With the population explosion of the past years in our feral hog herds, it's no wonder! In recent years feral hogs have come to occupy almost every county in the state and we have more than our fair share, right here in Foard County. Also our hunters are starting to see and take a few Javalina each year.
 
We try to provide exotic hunts to fit everyone's pocket book, from the non-trophy animals to the Gold Medal Record Class animals. We have numerous trophy sheep, which include Painted Desert,Texas Dall, Black Hawaiian, Corsican, Merino and others. Also available are Axis, Fallow, Red Deer, Blackbuck Antelope, American Bison (Buffalo), Aoudad and more. When ever you get hit with "Hunting Fever", you don't have to wait for the Fall. Lodging
All Whitetail Deer and Spring Turkey hunts includes lodging. Lodging on other hunts is available on a first come basis at $35 per person/per night. The Lodge has central heat and air and consists of four bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, & Hunters Den. We now have a second unit we call "The Bunkhouse". It consists of two bedrooms, one bath, kitchen/living with extra bunk. It has gas & electric heat and refrigerated air. Our Lodge and Bunkhouse serves larger groups, first and foremost. We utilize other lodging facilities when there is a need. All lodging comes complete with all the necessities to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. All linens and cooking utensils are provided, just bring your own food and drinks for the trip. There is plenty of freezer space and a washer and dryer if needed. Sit on the back patio and enjoy the quite evening as the sun sets over the lake.
 
During the period of May through August, come spend and enjoyable and relaxing week or weekend at the Lodge. Fishing, hiking, cookouts and wildlife watching are just a few of the activities you can enjoy. Plan a family reunion, church retreat or just a getaway. Copper Breaks State Park is a short ten minutes away. Where they have nature trails, swimming, nature and historical exhibits and more. Also the Three RF Astronomy Campus, with its huge telescopes, is just a short 15 minute drive west of Crowell. If your stay is at the Lake Lodge be sure and bring your fishing rod. The lake is stocked with black bass, catfish and perch. We operate on the “Catch & Release system”, so everyone has the opportunity to catch some nice fish.

All whitetail hunts are fair chase hunts and there is no guarantee kill. Most Hunts require a 50% non-refundable deposit to book. All hunts are non-refundable unless the hunter can be replaced at full price. If a cancelation occurs it is up to the hunter or the group to find his or her replacement. Full balance is due upon arrival. We take checks or credit card for deposits but all balances must be paid with cash or credit card. We take Master Card, Visa & American Express
Game Processing
We now offer complete wild game processing to our hunters and to the general public. If you come on one of our hunts and want to take advantage of this service we will try to have your meat packaged and ready for you to take home when you leave, or we can ship your meat to you when your order has been completed. All of our meat products are vacuumed sealed for longer freezer life and our sausages are second to none in flavor and taste.
We also have a couple of area Taxidermists that you may choose from that will pick up your trophy and ship to you when it has been mounted. We can not store your trophy heads any longer than 7 days. Please make arrangements for them to be picked up.
