Wingshooting Sandy Oaks Ranch is a world-class wingshooting destination, offering Quail and Dove hunts. Orvis endorsed since 2000, we have continued to provide outstanding experiences for our hunters. Our expertise will be apparent from the moment you arrive at the Ranch.

At Sandy Oaks Ranch, we pride ourselves on providing superior bird hunting for dove and quail. We are particularly proud of our Wild Quail and the experience they provide our hunters.
Our packages provide both all-day hunts with lodging or half-day hunts and can be tailored for any size group.

Other Services Clay Shooting We offer instruction in both Wingshooting and Sporting Clays at our on-site facility.
Wingshooting School This one-day class starts with safety basics and progresses through sighting your gun, stances and custom gun fitting.
Box Bird, Columbaire, Ball Trap, Helice & ZZ Bird Shooting and instruction are available for those who want to increase their skills in these areas.
Custom Gun Fitting A properly fitted gun will make all the difference in your shooting and hunting experience. The Orvis Gun Program is the only one of its kind in the country. Owner Foard Houston has been trained by the Orvis Chief Gunsmith of 28 years and Corporate Gun Manager John Skinner.
Fishing Sandy Oaks Ranch provides both traditional cast fishing and fly fishing excursions that are sure to delight any fisherman. We provide both instruction and guiding services on private lakes, public lakes and Coastal waters. An Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Guide, Owner Foard Houston serves as the guide on all trips.

Whether you are in search of a quiet, relaxing day of fishing or the excitement offered by saltwater species, Sandy Oaks Ranch has what you are looking for. We provide trips and instruction for people of all ages and abilities.
Some of our destinations include: Choke Canyon and Amistad Lakes, Private Lakes, Devil's River, Redfish Bay and South Bay. Enjoy fishing from a Hell’s Bay Shallow Water skiff or wade fishing.

Upon booking, half deposit is required. All deposits are non-refundable. A signed liability release form is required. We accept cash, cashier’s checks, company and personal checks. We follow all state and federal fishing regulations. Bring fishing license.
