Hunting the Land
Whispering Emerald Ridge offers 380 acres of managed habitat divided into seven hunting fields plus two training fields nestled in the rolling hills of northwestern Wisconsin. Hunt the Flight Conditioned Manchurian Cross and the Rare Trophy Reeves Pheasant.

The Birds
At Whispering Emerald Ridge Game Farm we offer a variety of birds including standard Ringneck pheasants, Quail, and Chuckers plus more exotic hunting birds such as the Mutant and the Black & White Mutant, the Buss Ringneck, the Flight conditioned Manchurian Cross, the rare Trophy Reeves Pheasant, and four different Cross-Bred Specialty Birds.
The Ringneck Pheasant may well be the best known of all pheasants. This species is native to China and was imported to North America in the late 1800s. The white ring around its neck makes the male ringneck pheasant is easily identifiable. Females do not have the ringneck characteristic.
Clubhouse
Come hunting with your group or by yourself. We have fields to accommodate every aspect of your outing.
After the hunt eat at the Lookout Lounge and enjoy conversation with other hunting enthusiasts.

The facility includes a covered 5 stand with lights and heat for winter league shooting enthusiasts. Winter league for the 5-stand will be starting on December 4th. Sign Up Today!
The outstanding setting at Whispering Emerald Ridge is guaranteed to present interesting and challenging clay targets that shotgun shooters are sure to enjoy.
Shooting Deck
Our covered, heated and lighted (for night shooting) 5 stand will help keep your “shooting eye” when cabin fever sets in and trap ranges are closed. Warm up before, during, and after a pheasant hunt or join our 5-stand Winter League starting January 8th. Or, get an early practice in before our Sporting Clays Walk Thorugh Course for Spring League starts on April 6th. There are always plenty of similar-thinking shotgun enthusiasts for conversation and coaching, if you wish. Shooting hours are by appointment 7 days a week except special closing dates (please check our calendar). For night shooting we are open every Sunday until 7 pm, Tuesday until 9 pm or Thursday until 9 pm. To View our shooting deck please visit the video tour on the home page.
Sporting Clays
Introduced to the United States in the early 1980’s, Sporting Clays is the fastest growing of all the shotgun sports. Whether shooting by yourself on Individual League, or joining/forming a Team League, shooters will find the courses at Whispering Emerald Ridge constantly challenging.

The Five Types of Targets Used • Standard: 108 Millimeters in diameter, this target is used to simulate large birds such as pheasants or mallards. • Rabbits: A hardened clay target which rolls and bounces on the ground. The target explains itself. Don’t let those rabbits fool you. • Midi: Or commonly known as a 90, these are designed to simulate smaller yet faster birds like doves, teal or woodcock. • Mini: Also known as a 60, simulating the speed of the quick quail. • Battue: These targets are a flat disc. This target offers a fast rising low profile view until it reaches the peak of its flight path, when it slowly turns to one side and offers a round target as it falls simulating ducks diving onto the water.
For your safety Whispering Emerald Ridge requires shooters to wear safety glasses and hearing protection while on the course.
Blaze Orange Required For all Hunts No Exceptions
Absolutely No Alcohol Prior To Or During Shooting
