Our guides scout everyday and will move at a moment's notice to keep up with the birds. Liberal limits, electric calls, and smoking barrels are just a few reasons why every waterfowl hunter should experience spring snows at least once in their lifetime. Fly Fishing

North Platte River - Grey Reef Section The Grey Reef tailwater is home to wild rainbow, cutthroat, and brown trout. Due to warmer winter water release the Grey Reef stays open even in the dead of winter and offers great fishing year round. Flows at Grey Reef range from 500cfs in the spring/fall to 3500cfs in the summer months. Stable flows at Grey Reef produce an environment rich in aquatic life. Scuds, midges and worms maintain these huge trout throughout the winter months. Hatches begin with spring baetis and continue into the summer months including yellow stone flies, pale morning duns, crane flies, tricos, and caddis. Due to their rich environment these trout are extremely healthy and incredibly hard fighting. Many of the trout caught at Grey Reef are in the 18-20 inch range with fish being caught weekly that exceed 25 inches!
Float Trips Float trips are the best way to experience Grey Reef. With its extensive tracts of private land, most of the area is inaccessible to the wade fisherman. Guided float trips give you great fishing access to these private waters. Float trips are great for both the beginner and the most experienced fly fisherman. Depending on water flows, our guided float trips range from 8 to 13 miles. Your guides will share their extensive knowledge of the river and put you on the fish. Our guides pride themselves on being experienced oarsman and will allow you to achieve wonderful drifts. Great fishing and wildlife viewing make float trips both peaceful and exciting. This is a trip every angler should experience.
Our float trips take place on a Clackacraft drift boat and accommodate 2 fishermen and 1 guide. Walk-Wade Trips Walk-Wade trips consist of full or half day fly fishing. Your guide will teach you what fly fishing is about as you are instructed on how to achieve a good drift, minus the aid of a drift boat. With the instruction of your guide you will learn how to read water, select the right flies, and rig your own rod. You will do the fishing as your guide helps you understand techniques and tips to catch trout. These trips can be a real confidence booster and great learning experience as you learn the art of fly fishing.
Rates All trips include the following: * Airport shuttles from the Casper International Airport * Transportation to and from lodging, * All tackle and gear - including flies * A nice lunch with beverages of your choice * A fully guided day of fly fishing.

North Platte River - Miracle Mile Section 100_0724With great fishing and fantastic scenery the “Miracle Mile” really has it all. Smashed between two huge reservoirs, this tailwater looks and fishes much like a free-stone river. Depending upon reservoir levels, float trips range between 5 and 12 miles. The “Mile” consists of fast rapid water in the upper section which gradually gives way to slower water on the lower section.
Every year the “Mile” produces some truly amazing trout. Wyoming Game and Fish biologists consistently shock brown trout that exceed 10 pounds, and each year a few of our clients tie into one of these monsters. Pound for pound the trout at the “Mile” might be the best fighting fish you will ever encounter.
Aquatic life at the “Mile” is prolific and diverse. A summer hatch of giant golden stone flies leads to some fantastic dry fly fishing! Check out our fishing report for the latest conditions. Other hatches include caddis, pmd’s, baetis, and midges. Flows at the Miracle Mile fluctuate more frequently than Grey Reef, therefore fishing is slightly less consistent. Again, check out our fishing report for up to date information.

Miracle Mile Trips Guided trips to the Miracle Mile will consist of both wade fishing and float fishing. The “Mile” consists of many islands and side channels that are perfect for pulling the boat over and getting out to wade fish. Due to flows, these islands are very secluded and you will often have them all to yourself.
Fly fishing the “Mile” is more technical than Grey Reef and lends itself to fisherman with a little more experience. The Miracle Mile trip is a great compliment to those clients fishing with us for multiple days as you get to experience the vast contrast between Grey Reef and the Miracle Mile. Miracle Mile Rates Miracle Mile float trips include the following: * Airport shuttles from Casper International Airport * Transportation to and from lodging * All tackle and gear, including flies * A nice lunch with beverages of your choice * A fully guided day of fly fishing.
Rates: * $400/day 1 or 2 fisherman
There is no half day service for the Miracle Mile section. Rates do not include gratuity for your guide or fishing license. Wyoming non resident daily fishing license is $14.
